The big news of the day is obviously the mid term elections. On a local level, Measure T, essentially a ban on all vacation rentals (with exception of those located in a small area of the tourist core), appears to have passed by a slim margin, unofficially. 2345 Yes votes, 2232 No votes. That is only a 113 vote difference, in favor of T. However, this does not include some provisional and absentee ballots that will continue to come in the next week.
Additionally, it appears we have three new City Council members, Devin Middlebrook, Cody Bass, and Tamara Wallace. All new candidates to the council. See all the El Dorado County preliminary election results below.
