WELCOME HOME!
CALDOR FIRE UPDATE-9/14/21
I am filled with deep gratitude for the hard work done by so many firefighters and first responders to protect the community of South Lake Tahoe. No structures were lost within the Tahoe Basin. We did have many homes lost near Sierra at Tahoe, along the Hwy 50 corridor, and in Grizzly Flats. Our hearts are with those that lost their homes in those areas. One such person is local Jim Bitner, who is a Wilderness First Responder Instructor and well known member of the community. Here is a link to his GoFundMe page if you are inclined and able to donate.
Below is a list of resources to ensure you have all the information you need. Most of South Lake Tahoe is now only under an evacuation warning and most residents are now allowed to return. Lake Tahoe Unified School District has announced the first day of school will be this Thursday, 9/16/21. Hwy 50 and 88 still remain closed.
If there is any way I can be of help, please do not hesitate to reach out. I am back in Tahoe and more than happy to check on your homes for you, or assist in way that I can. Please feel free to contact me any time.
